- A hospital in California is looking for an experienced SICU/CVICU nurse for a travel contract.
- The right candidate will have 3 full years of experience, experience with open hearts.
- Experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within the last 6 months is required.

- CERNER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
- All MYJOURNEY MODULES NEED TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: general medical & surgical ICU experience in addition to CVICU experience.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
- Schedule Information
- Shifts are 12 hours, from 7 am to 7:30 pm.
- Every other weekend required; additional weekends based on unit needs.
- Two out of three major holidays required; other holidays as directed by perm staff rotation.
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed, but may be allowed if it fits the schedule.
- Floor specific orientation: 1 shift with a preceptor.
- Unit Specific Information
- No techs, but support staff available.
- Tele: Phillips central monitors in the nurse station & hard wired in each room.
- Vents technology available: Draeger, Hamilton G5 & Galileo. Transport vent is LVT.
- Intensivist in house from 7 am to 5 pm, then on-call after hours.
- IV team: No
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7 with Omnicell.
- Floating only to other ICUs or to ER for inpatient ICU holds.
- Additional Details
- Must be first to float if necessary.
- Assignments can change anytime during shift.
- High acuity, fast-paced unit.
