- Required certifications: BLS
- Preferred: ACLS
- Hospital in Southern Arizona is looking for RNs to complete a 13 week assignment on their Med Surg Tower 4 unit.
- The right candidates will have 3 years of experience and have an active BLS.
- 3 years of experience
- Active BLS certification
- EPIC experience required
- Resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, and trauma level for each hospital
- Employment gaps must be explained
- License must be active and in hand - AZ or Compact
- Shifts & Scheduling: 6:45 - 7:15am/pm
- Weekend Requirement: Every other
- Holiday Requirement: Typically 2/3 holidays
- Floating Requirements: Med Surg and ICU- for stable patients
- # of Beds: 36
- ORTHO-all, abd pain, COPD, overdose, ETOH, weakness, psych, surgical
- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: No
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: May see heparin on occasion
- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge-yes, unless need to take patients due to census
- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: PCA. 1:8-12
- RT Equipment: Bipap stable trachs, no changes to settings. Post surgical trachs- must be able to suction, trach care. Drains-JP, wound vacs-have wound care RN, ostomies
- Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit: Tele on this unit, dedicated monitor tech will assist with reading tele but RN will need to ID significant anomalies and alert care team as necessary
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Number of shifts of unit/department specific orientation: One NEO, one clinical ed/EPIC, one day floor
- BLS;START DATE: 10/7
- Department: MedSurg | Tele | Ortho
- Radius Rule: 100 miles
- Start dates are not flexible
- EMR listed on each work assignment
- Time Off- Ensure dates make sense for the required start date and are 5 days or less
- Certs must be accurate and up to date
