Camp counselors are the heart of summer youth camp. Sky Valley Ranch counselors work with campers in 2nd - 8th grades, and Round-Up Ranch counselors work with high school-aged campers. Counselors may also work with Family Camp or Adult Mini Camp guests. Counselors lead and support campers in their programs and cabins, setting the tone for living and applying Christian Science at camp.
At Sky Valley Ranch, counselors will be assigned to one of the following programs each session: Explorers (gr. 2-4), Mountaineers (gr. 5-6), Challengers (gr. 7-8), Challengers Outcamp (gr. 7-8), Waterfront (gr. 5-8), Buckaroos (gr. 3-4), or Horsemanship (gr. 5-8). At Round-Up Ranch, counselors will be assigned to one of the following programs each session: Mosaics (gr. 9-12), Conquerors (gr. 9-12), Mountain Biking (gr. 6-12), Whitewater Rafting (gr. 9-12), Whitewater Kayaking (gr. 9-12), Horsemanship (gr. 9-12) or Polocrosse (gr. 9-12). Counselors-at-large at both Sky Valley and Round-Up will be flexibly assigned to support specific programs and/or campers as needs arise. This may include joining different programs throughout a single session to ensure positive camper experiences.
We would also love to work with you to design an internship based on your career interests in an area that intersects with the camp counselor experience. Possibilities include education, religious studies, or outdoor leadership - or reach out if you have an idea that we haven’t thought of yet!

• Live a demonstrated commitment to Christian Science
• At least 18 years old, high school graduate or equivalent at time of employment
• Willingness to uphold high moral and ethical standards
• Enthusiasm for working with young people with love, patience, and consistency
• Ability to flexibly support in a variety of areas as needs arise
• Ability to participate in outdoor adventure and recreational activities
• Ability to live in a cabin with campers and other staff
