Sales Development Representative – AI Software Startup

A VC-backed startup in New York City, which is revolutionizing the AI space, is on the lookout for a Sales Development Representative. This role is vital to their go-to-market strategy, and the successful candidate will play a key part in driving the company’s growth. The company has recently closed a significant Series-B funding round, demonstrating strong investor confidence and providing ample resources to expand its operations and enhance its innovative AI solutions.

The startup is dedicated to delivering exceptional service in the digital SaaS world, and the Sales Development Representative will be instrumental in building and nurturing relationships with potential customers. This involves not only identifying and reaching out to prospective clients but also understanding their unique needs and presenting tailored solutions that highlight the value of the company’s offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential customers using various techniques within their targeted markets
  • Proactively reach out to identified prospects using a range of methods, including email marketing, cold calling, and other digital marketing strategies.
  • Qualify both inbound and outbound leads and understand their interest and need levels to see if they are a good fit for the solutions
  • Optimize the sales funnel by strategizing with the Account Executives for lead generation and schedule meetings and product demonstrations for qualified leads
  • Maintain a continuous awareness of industry trends, the competitive landscape, and updates to the company’s products. Regularly gather and analyze this information to provide valuable feedback to both the product development and marketing teams.

Requirements:

  • 2 years’ experience in sales, lead generation, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields
  • Impeccable phone and email etiquette and organization skills
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented with a basic understanding of the SaaS business model and technology sales

Salary: $60-80K (401k, Stock Options, Unlimited PTO, Hybrid work schedule from the brand-new NYC office)
