About us

Advocate Radiation Oncology is a private radiation practice with locations in Fort Myers, FL and Cape Coral, FL. We are a private practice with professional clinic setting and our goal is to find an energetic Medical Office Specialist.

Our work environment includes a modern office setting with good benefits and once-a-week lunch provided by the practice.

Our medical practice is seeking a Medical Office Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the entire practice team. The new member will join our existing team in providing excellent customer service to our patients as well as to all professional and medical staff.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, as well as have a passion for helping patients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Obtain patient records and create patient files accordingly.
  • Schedule appointments for patients.
  • Collect patient data and enter into the computer system.
  • Maintain patient records and files in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with billing and insurance claims.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
