Advocates for the Independent is Hiring a Private Caregiver Near Houston, TX

```Duties```
- Provide direct care and assistance to individuals in need, including those with autism, dementia, or other special needs
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment
- Engage in behavior management techniques to promote a safe and supportive environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals in their homes or care facilities

```Qualifications```
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in caregiving or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Familiarity with dementia care, behavior management, and working with individuals with autism is a plus
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans provided by healthcare professionals
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transportation needs
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others
