CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

ADVON Corporation is seeking an Operations Assistant to join our construction team in the Tallahassee, FL area. ADVON is an industry-leading provider of general contracting and design-build services for the federal government across the Southeast region of the United States. Primary Duties

• Provide document administration for all phases of the construction process, including RFIs, ASIs, Submittals, and Closeout Documentation, and other document coordination.
• Provide administrative support to the Project Management Team.
• Provide subcontract administration including creating, distributing, and tracking contracts, subcontractor documentation and change orders.
• Create reports for use by our management staff.
• Attend meetings, take accurate notes, produce, and distribute meeting minutes.
• Assist with the solicitation of bids from subcontractors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills are required for this position.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work with Project Manager(s), Superintendent(s) and business associates.
• Skilled in the use of Procore Construction Document Control software desired.

A minimum of 2 years of construction experience and a proven track record in government construction experience is desired.
