Procurement Specialist

We are looking for a hands-on Procurement Specialist to join Adyen's Procurement & Vendor Management team, a dynamic global team within our Finance function. The goal of the team is to contribute to Adyen’s 10x ambition through sustainable commercial decisions, risk mitigation, contract and vendor management, ultimately empowering stakeholders to deliver their strategies. Initially, your focus will be on our IT and Business Infrastructure portfolio, but as Adyen grows, and the Procurement team with it, this scope might change and increase in the future.

What you'll do

  • You will act as a business partner to stakeholders such as Business Infrastructure delivering value and enabling their strategies.
  • You will lead and initiate commercial negotiations, including but not limited to contract renewals and setting up new agreements.
  • You will be responsible for supplier screening, onboarding, and due diligence.
  • You will set paths for optimal operations in collaboration with the internal teams and different business owners.
  • You will work with the Product team on product roadmaps, including but not limited to new product introductions.
  • You will do vendor monitoring on contractual agreements.
  • You will be tracking and reporting on industry trends.
  • You will build and maintain relationships with key vendors.

Who you are

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in IT Procurement, including category management and sourcing.
  • You're well-organized and like to solve problems with a pragmatic approach. 
  • You're data driven with an analytical mindset. 
  • You're a natural networker, great in stakeholder management and negotiations. 
  • You're proficient in English; fluency in another language is an added advantage. 
  • You have a global mindset, and are able to work across time zones and cultures.
  • You have project management skills, are resourceful, and able to work independently.
