Job Description
AECOM Water is seeking an early career Electrical Engineer I to join our growing Orlando, FL office. This role will support design efforts for a variety of water infrastructure projects including treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance.
The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
The Electrical Engineer position will involve design of low voltage and medium voltage electrical power distribution systems for heavy industrial water/wastewater applications, as well as, traditional building services.
This is a hybrid working environment.
Perform electrical system designs including:

• Switchgears
• Switchboards
• Motor control centers
• Variable frequency drives
• Generators
• Transformers
• Distribution panels, and
• Other electrical power distribution systems components
• Perform design for lighting, fire alarm, telephone, security and grounding systems
• Prepare design drawings including single line diagrams, electrical plans, wiring schematics, schedules, etc.
• Perform electrical system studies and calculations (load, harmonics, voltage drop, lighting, short circuit, coordination and arc flash)
• Review and coordinate instrumentation, control system process P&IDs, mechanical and HVAC systems and design its related electrical systems.
• Support the development of electrical equipment specifications
• Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards/practices.
• Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's in Degree Electrical Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

• 0-2 years of related experience
• Experience in the water/wastewater industry
• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,000.00 - $85,000.00.
