Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a talented Program Manager CBTC & Train Control Systems to join our World Class Rail Team in New York, NY . The selected candidate will have oversight and management of systems programs and projects relating to train control (CBTC), communications, and security systems in a working railroad environment. In addition, the Program Manager CBTC & Train Control Systems will lead the planning, design, construction, and testing & commissioning activities of transit/rail infrastructure.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities;
  • Lead the activities of our systems team, including the activities of support functions, to co-ordinate, facilitate and consolidate the work for the integrated Transit / Rail project teams with the work of other major network projects sufficient to meet the requirements of the Safety Accreditation processes for our clients' projects.
  • Will coordinate closely with clients, contractors, and project partners.
  • Collaborate with representatives of the various rail operators and other stakeholders to manage the clarification, development, documentation and reporting of the technical and program interface deliverables across multiple disciplines.
  • Establish and implement clear management plans and approaches to support the adoption of Systems Engineering practices, and controls across all our clients Work Projects.
  • Foster and drive an integrated approach to the design, construction and commission planning across the team and external inter-dependent projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements;
  • BA/BS in Engineering (Electrical, Information Systems, or other relevant discipline) plus 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications;
  • Master's degree in engineering (Electrical, Information Systems, or other relevant discipline).
  • Professional Engineer license is preferred.
  • Concentrated in systems integration/engineering.
  • Ability to travel when required.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of FRA & FTA requirements for project implementation.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $176,000.00 - $251,000.00.
