Job Description
Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Field Supervisor
AECOM offers a comprehensive suite of subsurface utility engineering (SUE), private utility locating and services to its diverse customer base composed of Engineering, Environmental, Utility, Surveying, and other Construction, and Infrastructure.
- Utilize advanced geophysical equipment, observational skills, and deductive reasoning to identify, designate and locate (vacuum excavation) utilities within a requested job scope in accordance with ASCE 38-02 & 38-22.
- Identify potential customers and set strategies to align customers with our recommendations.
- Manage the locate schedule with the CSR team.
- Ideal candidates will possess troubleshooting skills and be willing and able to learn new procedures and technologies.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
- SUE and / or private locating experience
- Experience and understanding of SUE practices and procedures in accordance with ASCE 38-02 & 38-22
- Valid Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience reading CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files
- Experience processing survey data into CAD and MicroStation files
- Supervisory experience of SUE crews
- Ability to manage multiple SUE crews
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, detailed-oriented and ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to travel out of town and work overtime
- Ability to walk long distances of several miles daily
- Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs
