AECOM is Hiring a Gis specialist Near Manchester, NH

Job Description

AECOM is seeking an experienced GIS Specialist III to contribute to one of our large population density survey projects.

This is a remote based position.

Responsibilities of this role include :

  • Utilizing ArcGIS Pro to review and update aerial / project data.
  • Performing QA / QC on data.
  • Facilitating field data collection efforts, and preparing deliverables including reports, files, and geodatabases.
  • Operates independently with minimal supervision.
  • Responsibilities at this level include the designing and programming of databases.
  • Design and programming are needed for each project and can also be task specific.
  • May direct the work of Level I and II GIS Specialists.
  • Overall project and / or task management.
  • Independently executes and delivers GIS projects of moderate to significant scope and complexity.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education in a similar GIS multidisciplinary project support role.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in engineering industry or state government also highly regarded.
  • Excellent understanding of the ESRI suite of products, specifically ArcGIS Pro and Data Reviewer.
  • Experience using ArcGIS Online and / or ArcGIS Portal.
  • Familiarity working within a virtualized GIS environment such as Citrix or cloud hosted virtual machines.
  • Technical knowledge of geographic concepts, including coordinate systems, data collection methods, spatial data management, analysis, data visualization and cartographic design.
  • Strong technical ability, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions to problems applying sound spatial analysis and data management practices.
  • Experience publishing and managing data with ArcGIS Collector / Field Maps and Survey123.
  • Adaptable team member, happy to work autonomously in dynamic work environments.
  • Scripting / programming knowledge highly regarded.
  • Experience processing and analyzing lidar and raster data.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise database systems (ArcGIS for Server)
  • Certified GISP

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
  • Please note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States and compensation data will vary in each location, including higher or lower than the stated range.
