The General Manager for this professional ultimate frisbee team will be responsible primarily for community relations/promotion, game day planning and entertainment to optimize fan experience, as well as managing the interns and supervising social media.
The overall fan experience at our gamedays includes:
•Booking bands, face painters, balloon artists, and entertainment for each game
•Writing the PA script and videoboard script
•Interviewing, hiring, and managing staff for gameday and team operations
•Overall supervision at the game venue
The General Manager will also be heavily involved in:
•Developing and maintaining relationships with community groups
Ticket Sales and prospecting
•Sponsorship Sales
•Planning and executing themes for each game
•Planning and running events throughout the year, including our tryouts, practices, Training Camp Weekend, overnight tournaments, leagues, youth camps and clinics, and others.
•Content creation and management/oversight for social media, graphic design, and written articles
•Developing and managing our Internship Program
Maintaining and updating staff training methods and plan
•Interfacing with media & the public
Knowledge, skills, abilities
•Availability to work all Union events
•Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
•Previous experience in project and event management
•Previous experience in sales and/or service preferred
•Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide vision and direction
•Strong customer service skills
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and time manage
•Strong written, verbal and listening skills
•Strong organizational skills, sense of urgency and attention to detail
•Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, business partners, board members, guests, and fans

•Self-motivated, ability to take initiative and learn quickly
•Proficient in the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc)
