SUMMARY
The Las Vegas Desert Dogs launched on June 21, 2021, as the 15th team in the National Lacrosse League beginning play in December 2022. The team is co-owned by Wayne Gretzky, Dustin Johnson, Steve Nash, and Joe Tsai. The team plays Lee's Family Forum in Henderson.
The Las Vegas Desert Dogs are hiring a talented Graphic Designer to manage the day-to-day design needs of the team. This position will report to the VP, Marketing & Communications.
Applicants should have the ability to execute design projects to meet the standards and requirements of Desert Dogs brand guidelines, while assisting in the creation of graphics for social media, email, arena wall graphics and marketing initiatives.The Graphic Designer will support a broad range of initiatives and campaigns and will be expected to meet tight deadlines.

JOB DESCRIPTION - WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Work with creative team and all departments to execute design projects as requested.
• Design compelling assets that are both on-brand and meet key objectives.
• Maintain high level of quality control ensuring deliverables meet a high professional standard.
• Provide continuous creative input and turn concepts into high-quality pieces.
• Maintain project deliverables and deadlines according to team goals.
• Other duties as assigned

CANDIDATE PROFILE - WHO YOU ARE:

• Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
• Strong proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva)
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace programs
• Knowledge of After Effects or other Adobe programs are a plus but not required
• Strong design and composition skills
• Excellent storytelling & communications skills
• High level of organization, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal direction
• Experience in sports is preferred, but not required
• Experience with the game of lacrosse is preferred, but not required
• Ability to work well in a team and receive constructive feedback and guidance
• Must have a creative and innovative technical mind, be self-motivated, and be resourceful

Travel Requirements
May be required to travel on some occasions (< 10% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
Work Environment
Works primarily in an office environment but upon request will be expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
