This is a management-level role for a professional with 3-4 years of experience in sports-focused social media.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Bengals Director of Content, the Manager of Social Media will manage day-to-day posting and content aggregation on the Bengals Social Media platforms
- Manage a team of social programmers
- Write social media copy
- Monitor the daily social conversations of fans, influencers, other brands and teams to identify trends and best practices
- Engage with local and national social media trends
- Assist with graphic design and video needs for different social channels
- Create KPI dashboards, develop thoughtful insights, and adapt the content strategy according to emerging trends
- Facilitate the creation of video and graphics with the Bengals content team, the League LCC program, and NFL 33
- Ideate short-form videos to be used on Bengals Social channels
- Document community events
- Log and archive Bengals content using media asset management software, Iconik
- Other duties as assigned
- 3-4 years of experience operating the social media channels of a sports organization
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing or communications
- Strong understanding of the NFL and its offseason events
- Strong writing skills with knowledge of AP Style
- Experience in ideating and creating social media content
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with teammates
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Master's degree in journalism, marketing or communications
- Experience working with an NFL team
- Photography experience (DSLR & Camera Phone)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere)
