Our Head of People Services is a key leadership role within our People Services team, responsible for effectively leading and managing our Payroll, People Services and Risk & Compliance teams to deliver high-quality HR services throughout the full colleague lifecycle.
The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills to drive initiatives that enhance employee experience, drive operational excellence and ensure compliance whilst supporting the overall business objectives.
You will lead, manage and develop your teams by fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Lead the People Services team, with a focus on enhancing the colleague and candidate experience for the moments that matter.
  • Lead an effective Payroll team, capable of delivering the full suite of payroll services including support to all strategic projects and changes in line with relevant regulation to all UK entities.
  • Lead a strong Risk and Assurance team to enhance maturity within the function and foster a culture aligned with external and regulatory requirements, in partnership with the business.
  • Contribute to the development of the medium and long-term people strategy for the People Function to meet customer and stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure each team under your supervision is functioning cohesively and efficiently, with a focus on service provision and productivity.
  • Ensure a service management approach is in place to deliver a consistently positive colleague, candidate and line manager experience, setting SLA’s in line with organisational requirements and best practice and continually monitoring/reporting progress against these.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance People service delivery processes, leveraging technology and best practices to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
  • Experience in developing and leading colleague centric solutions with the ability to set a clear vision for the team, aligning the people strategy with organisation goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR regulations, compliance and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Experience at leading and inspiring people through change, with a proven ability in adapting and performing in a rapidly changing and challenging environment.
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of the colleague lifecycle and HR including policy advice, compensation & benefits, payroll, employee relations, talent acquisition and organisation development.
  • Proven experience in HR leadership roles within a regulated organisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
