Job Description:
Designs components, or portions of a functional system, or prototype, or specific products for medical device/science/technology
Applies intermediate level principles of engineering analysis, blend technical knowledge and manufacturing practices in providing solutions to problems arising within the department pertaining to the assigned projects
Writes test protocols and execute prototype test execution for components and devices
Creates and/or manages the generation of detailed product drawings
Designs test fixtures/systems, author protocols, and execute Gauge R&Rs/validation for design verification testing
BS in Mechanical Engineering 5 years’ experience
MS in Mechanical Engineering 3 years’ experience
At least 1 - 2 years’ experience in medical device industry preferred (Class II/III a preferred)
Proficient in Creo/Solidworks/other CAD packages (Creo proficiency preferred)
Experience with injection molded component design and/or machined component design
Experience with fixture/test systems design, test method development, test method validation for design verification testing
Experience with design of small assemblies and tolerance analysis is a plus
BS in Mechanical Engineering 5 years’ experience
MS in Mechanical Engineering 3 years’ experience
