Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Equipment Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and logistics of our construction equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure all tools and machinery are properly maintained, available, and safe to support our field teams in delivering exceptional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance: Develop and oversee a regular maintenance schedule for all equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Inventory Management: Track and manage equipment inventory, including procurement, inspections, and repairs.
• Logistics Coordination: Schedule and coordinate the transportation of equipment to and from job sites, ensuring timely delivery.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and OSHA requirements. Conduct routine inspections and address safety concerns immediately.
• Vendor Relations: Work with suppliers and repair shops to source parts, negotiate rates, and ensure timely service.
• Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance history, and expenses.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and crew members to address equipment needs and resolve issues.
• Training: Provide basic training on the proper use and care of equipment to team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work on Saturdays
• Welding experience strongly preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in equipment management, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify mechanical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Excel, inventory management software).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate construction equipment (preferred).
• Familiarity with telecommunications construction equipment is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
• Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
