Primary Purpose of Role: The purpose of the Manufacturing Engineer is to plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes in the plant by developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods through knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities: Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and process planning. Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results. Designs, develops and test and/ or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommend manufacturing methods. Performs products/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency. Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams. Monitors and improves the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as by collecting and interpreting data from other technical and operating personnel.

Additional Responsibilities: Maintain housekeeping at and around department. Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant. Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area. Follow all quality systems and AeroGen-TEK operating procedures as applies to certifications, duties, and training matrix. Follow all AeroGen-TEK rules and regulations, including safety rules. Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications and Experiences: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in related field preferred. Two plus years in engineering or related field with proven skills. Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Excellent cognitive and analytical skills and reading and writing skills. Strong computer background, organizational, planning, and typing skills. Effective communication skills and human relations skills. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Ability to work well in a team environment.
