AeroShield is a collaborative team of 17 people united by the mission to deliver innovative new materials to make our lives more sustainable. Up to 40% of building heating and cooling energy is lost through windows and AeroShield enables the next general of high-performance windows. We are developing super-insulating, transparent inserts for windows based on aerogels, bringing state-of-the-art thermal comfort and energy efficiency into buildings at an affordable price.

Our goal is to ensure that our super-insulating silica aerogel, the first truly transparent aerogel, is widely adopted to enable affordable, high-performance windows. To enable our mission, AeroShield is working with insulated glazing manufacturers to co-develop and launch high-performance products. Due to the technical nature of these collaborations, success in this role is measured by deep, trusted collaborations with a select number of manufacturer customers, rather than targeting many partners.
What we are looking for in an Account Manager:
We’re in search of someone who is highly passionate about sustainability and wants to create meaningful change through their work at an early-stage cleantech startup. Working as an Account Manager at AeroShield you manage relationships with existing and prospective customers that manufacture insulated glass units for windows, doors, freezers, and more. You will help guide initial discussions, project manage samples and testing plans, and identify ways to help our customers reach their business and sustainability goals. You will report directly into the CEO and provide updates and recommendations on opportunities to expand our customer relationships, and work with our Product Engineering team to define customer needs and share product specifications.
While this role can be done remotely, travel to customer sites is expected, as well as visits to AeroShield’s R&D facilities in Boston, MA.
