**Aerotek is seeking qualified Bonding/Composite Technician for an aerospace & defense project in El Segundo, CA - this project is contract only. Pay range $22-28.50/hour DOE. Train on 1st shift then moved to 2nd shift. Must have prior 1 years of composite / bonding experience to be considered.**

**Description:**

Bonds a variety of dissimilar materials composite metal or laminate assemblies parts skins components equipment or structures into semi-finished or finished products. Lays out articles cuts parts or materials to size.

Applies liquid or solid bonding agents. Operates autoclave hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycle.

Controls conditions of heat pressure and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used.

Sands burrs and smoothes over areas apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges.

Monitors and verifies quality of finished product.

Completes repairs on composite metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions.

Verifies quality of finished product.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**

Ideally 2 years of experience as a Bonding/Composite Technician

Ability to fabricate composite components/tools

Proficient in bond prep, tool prep, ply kit generation, lamination, vacuum bagging, de-molding, trimming, finishing, core fabrication, and bond work

**Work Environment**

Will Train on 1st Shift and move to 2nd Shift (training is expected to last for 2 weeks)

9/80 work schedule - will be every other Friday off/on

1st Shift: 5am - 2:42pm

2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 12:00am
