Job Title: Mechanic
Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our service and repair shop. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, pumps, and vac-loaders. Your tasks will include changing filters on engines, replacing seals on pumps, and rebuilding pumps. Additionally, you will service rental equipment in the shop and occasionally travel to customer sites within the Houston area. Being able to communicate effectively with customers regarding service and setup is an integral part of this role. Please note that there will be on-call duties as required.
Required:

• Experience with Diesel Engines from Heavy Equipment
• Ability to Diagnose and Repair Engines

Possession of Own Tools
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Pearland, Texas.
Work Environment
This role is based in a small, non-climate controlled shop with a larger yard for spare parts and equipment. The environment is organized but not extremely clean. The team includes three other mechanics, four warehouse/drivers, plus inside sales and an Operations manager. The mechanic will be part of a rotation schedule for on-call duties, which requires driving a service truck to client sites for repairs. Work attire is steel toes, jeans, and a work shirt. The shift is from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with the expectation of being on-call for one week per month. Overtime and weekend work may be required, particularly when on-call, and you may need to work until the job is done.
