About the Role

Seeking an Analyst with expertise in battery construction and manufacturing to join the Business Strategy team.

You will be responsible for development of relevant benchmark studies for factory construction and manufacturing operations, including collecting, summarizing, analyzing, and synthesizing information that helps solve specific business problems in battery manufacturing industries.

You will perform a wide range of research tasks on various topics from collecting market statistics to market modeling, benchmark studies and developing perspectives that are relevant to our business interest.

Over time, you will develop as an expert and build up a knowledge database in these topics. You will also collaborate with our global industrial team to share and build knowledge, best practices and relevant new ideas.

Your work will be multifaceted and exciting, and you will gain insights into many topics. In project work and in exchanges with colleagues, you will deal with new intellectual challenges daily as well as build your industry and functional knowledge on an ongoing basis.

Experience with contracting strategies and an engineering mindset to breakdown root causes for capex increases in recent years is a plus.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct research and analysis to develop benchmarks for battery gigafactory construction and production processes
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and efficiency in manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay informed and make strategic recommendations
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Construction, Business or a related discipline
  • 2 years of work experience in battery industry
  • 2 years of work experience such as project engineer/management or other relevant research experiences within construction, finance and manufacturing
  • Solid understanding of economic, financial, and general business concepts in the targeted industries
  • Experience in conducting business or academic research
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English

What is “Nice to Have”?

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience/knowledge of US battery market trends, benchmarking analysis preferred
  • Proficiency in a second language (verbal and written) in Chinese, Japanese, German is a plus
