Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our work family. We are a new practice that just opened within the last year and are bursting at the seems with growth! The ideal candidate will have a passion for people with a growth mindset and hustle and drive. Someone who is committed to helping build their patient load and help grow the practice. We are wanting someone with experience and confidence in the aesthetic industry as well as someone who wants to grow in their abilities and expertise.
Duties
An aesthetic nurse practitioner (NP) specializes in non-surgical cosmetic procedures, working to enhance the appearance and confidence of patients. Their duties typically include:
1. Patient Consultation and Assessment: Conduct initial consultations to understand patient goals, evaluate medical history, and determine the most suitable aesthetic treatments.
2. Performing Non-Surgical Procedures: Administer cosmetic procedures such as Botox injections, , chemical peels, laser treatments, microneedling, and other skin rejuvenation techniques. We also recently purchased some heat based devices and would get your trained on operating these machines. An online laser certification may be necessary as well.
3. Developing Customized Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and desired outcomes.
4. Educating Patients: Provide information about the risks, benefits, and aftercare of cosmetic procedures, ensuring patients have realistic expectations.
5. Monitoring Patient Progress: Follow up with patients post-procedure to monitor results, manage any complications, and adjust treatment plans if necessary.
6. Maintaining Clinical Standards: Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
7. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Keep detailed records of treatments, patient interactions, and progress for future reference and regulatory compliance.
8. Staying Updated on Aesthetic Trends: Participate in continuing education to stay current with new technologies, products, and best practices in aesthetic medicine.
9. Collaboration with Other Medical Professionals: Work alongside dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
These duties allow aesthetic nurse practitioners to play a key role in enhancing patient appearance and boosting their self-esteem through minimally invasive procedures.
Medical Directorship:
Other expectations would be for the nurse practitioner to act as the medical director for the med spa. These duties and responsibilities may include
1. Clinical Oversight and Supervision
2. Assisting in Developing Treatment Protocols: Create and implement treatment protocols, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.
3. Staff Training and Development: Participate and help guide the medical and support staff on procedures, safety protocols, and new technologies, ensuring that all staff are competent and compliant with regulations.
4. Patient Consultation and Treatment Planning: Participate in patient consultations, provide expert guidance, and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
5. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Working with the head nurse and clinic owner in ensuring that the clinic complies with healthcare regulations, legal standards, and ethical practices, including handling medical record-keeping, informed consent, and safety protocols.
6. Managing Complications and Adverse Events: Assist and oversee in the management of complications, adverse events, and patient complaints, ensuring prompt and appropriate responses to maintain patient safety and satisfaction.
7. Business Strategy and Development: Work with management to set strategic goals, expand service offerings, and improve patient experience, contributing to the clinic’s growth and success.
8. Marketing and Patient Education: Collaborate on marketing strategies and provide expert input on patient education materials to promote the practice and inform patients about available treatments.
9. Assist with Financial Management: Monitor budgets, set pricing structures, and manage costs related to medical supplies, staffing, and equipment to maintain profitability.
An aesthetic medical director plays a crucial role in guiding the clinical direction of an aesthetic practice, ensuring high standards of patient care and contributing to the practice’s overall success.
Experience
Required:
- Master's degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
-One year of aesthetic experience; neurotoxins, fillers, biostimulators BONUS- laser certified and has experience in vitamin hydration
-Desired experience in hormone therapy and peptide therapy
-Experience or knowledge with medical directing would be a great asset

Pay: From $65.00 per hour
