We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Accounting & Finance Department. Recent college graduates are welcome to apply.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Analyze, verify, code, and post invoices in the ERP system.

· Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval

· Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors

· Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files

· Clarify any questionable invoice items, terms, or prices; research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issue

· Perform routine weekly check runs and electronic payments for approved invoices to ensure vendors are paid on time

· Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments

· Reconcile vendor statements to make sure accounts are correct and current

· Analyze all accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracy

· Research and approve new vendors and create new vendor accounts

· Create and post journal entries as needed

· Create and mail vendor 1099s

· Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries

· Produce weekly and monthly payable reports

· Assist with month end and year end closing

· Provide supporting documentation for audits

· Work with VP of Finance and Controller for special projects

Education and Experience

· An associate degree or a certificate in business accounting (preferred, not required)

· 3-5 years accounts payable or general accounting experience

· An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills is required

· Proficient in data entry and management

· Comfortable with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite

· Functional knowledge of database and spreadsheet tools, such as Excel

· Strong basic mathematical skills

· An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing

· Analytical and problem-solving skills to fully address accounts payable issues
