Aeyon is Hiring a Junior Accountant #24181 Near Dayton, OH

Job Description:
Aeyon seeks qualified candidates to provide Project Management for The Marine Corps Test and Evaluation We are seeking a dedicated Junior Accountant to support the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks to optimize accounting processes and ensure data integrity within the DEAMS framework. The successful applicant will demonstrate a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively under government regulations. The person will also support the DEAMS Functional Management Office (FMO), Air Force Accounting Operations Center (AFAOC), and Air Force field commands' use of the DEAMS application.
Duties and experiences include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Analyze and interpret accounting data from systems such as DEAMS, GAFS, and FMSuite, proposing corrective actions for each assigned task.
  • Identify and address accounting discrepancies, formulating recommendations to rectify any anomalies in assigned tasks.
  • Monitor and evaluate erred interfaces, discerning patterns and suggesting proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Implement audit solutions within the AFAOC Infrastructure, enhancing data quality, automating data analysis, and minimizing Notice of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs).
  • Oversee AFAOC-owned managerial programs with government-approved methods, ensuring compliance and addressing issues related to BPN approval, CBA, and GPC delinquencies.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
Experience Requirements:
  • Up to 3 years of experience
  • Willingness to travel and provide hands-on training and support
Desired Experience:
  • Working knowledge of DoD Financial Management systems, processes, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Air Force Financial Management systems, processes, and procedures
  • Functional knowledge of Federal applications of Oracle eBusiness software
  • Technical knowledge of Federal applications of Oracle eBusiness software
  • Functional Experience with Oracle Federal Financial audit capabilities
  • Working knowledge of DoD legacy financial management systems and processes
  • Working knowledge of Federal and Defense financial audit processes
  • Functional Expertise in operational Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS)
Certification Requirements:

  • Certifications in SAFe Agile Framework
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
