The On-site Branch Manager, reporting to the Distribution Center Manager. Activities and responsibilities of the Branch Manager include:

  • Represent AFC's vision, values and objectives in all job-related activities, sustaining excellent customer relationships.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of AFC products, services, quality requirements and customer plans and specifications.
  • Adhere to all AFC and customer safety policies.
  • Adhere to AFC processes and work with management for any process changes.
  • Continuously promote and maintain positive working relationships with customers and associates on-site, ensuring all opportunities to provide value-added services to customers are communicated to Program Managers for follow up.
  • Perform daily bin maintenance, including Bin Scanning, Bin Replenishment within customer specifications and requirements, in coordination with On Site Inventory Clerks, if applicable.
  • Proactively initiate or respond efficiently to daily Customer requirements, with the Contract Administrator, Production Floor Supervisors and other relevant Functional Area Managers, to facilitate needs.
  • Attending Shortage, Planning and Development Meetings, as required, to provide accurate and current status on critical parts to customer management team.
  • Address On-Site quality assurance issues and forward them to the Program Manager and or Quality Manager for resolution.
  • Communicate or report relevant program information (i.e., critical stock outs) to Program Managers, immediately.
  • Assist the Program Manager in determining new bin set-ups, size and locations.
  • Maintaining a facility layout and document any layout changes as it pertains to the racking / bins we service onsite.
  • Identify part usage issues to the Program Manager and direct Manager
  • Practice and promote good housekeeping within the on-site work environment.
  • Actively seek and recommend process improvements to Program Managers and your direct Manager, to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Accommodate Special Requirements which may be established by the customer supervisor, including but not limited to work schedule changes, required overtime, working holidays, and weekends, as needed.
  • Adhere to all customer site safety and security policies and procedures, and local laws or regulations, as applicable.
  • Attend regularly scheduled customer or company-sponsored meetings and/or training, as required.
  • Must be able to lift 20-70lbs
  • Other duties as assigned

Professional Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

Work Experience:

3 to 5 Years warehouse experience, certified forklift driver, working knowledge of OSHA regulations, working knowledge of MS Word and Excel

Professional Skills:

  • A strong work ethic
  • Experience in leading a team and communicating closely with management is a must
  • Ability to work in a quick-paced production environment; troubleshoot and take corrective action to resolve problems, if necessary
  • Experience with Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Oral comprehension
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, read and interpret documents, follow procedures, and document information
  • Experience with an automated Warehouse Management System
