The Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL) is the non-profit trade association that represents the interests of Iowa credit unions and the more than one million members they serve.
ICUL is currently hiring a Member Services Consultant to champion the growth and success of Iowa credit unions. This individual will support the delivery of products and services to our member credit unions and will promote the value of ICUL membership. This position will also build strong relationships with credit union employees and board members.
Responsibilities

• Serve as a source of support for the education events and professional development opportunities that engage Iowa credit unions.
• Assist the ICUL team in preparation for planning sessions, chapter meetings and additional events.
• Provide guidance to credit unions in a collaborative manner through industry resources and ICUL operating companies.
• Partake in conversations pertaining to credit union operations including employee development, board planning, succession planning, financial well-being, and regulatory matters.
• Seek out opportunities to grow and expand relationships within our member services programs.
• Maintain positive relationships with credit unions at the board, executive and staff level.
• Collaborate with credit union leaders to drive the growth and success of Iowa credit unions.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail financial services, previous credit union experience preferred.
• Active listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications throughout all levels of an organization.
• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills, including demonstrated success in both small and large groups.
• Aptitude to establish credibility quickly to build long-lasting, trusting relationships.
• Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and other software solutions.
• Collaborative individual with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with a high level of integrity.
• Must align with the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” and ICUL’s core values: People Matter, Collaborate for Results, Ownership Perspective, and Embrace Change.
• Ability to travel occasionally, evening and weekend requirements.
• Credit and criminal background verification required on all applicants.
