Description
SUMMARY
The Product Manager is responsible for coordinating Costco Auto Program promotion projects with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), cross functional teams and internal stakeholders. This role will develop and maintain partner relationships to establish credibility, manage objectives and expectations with a high level of drive and confidence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as SME and POC for OEMs before and during promotions. Manage feedback between external and internal stakeholders.
  • Anticipates our clients' needs and overcomes objections tactfully
  • Before launch:
  • Manage OEM deliverables and responsible for making sure OEM and ADG are aligned on business processes, marketing strategies, legal and technical implementation.
  • Manage approval process (Costco and OEM)
  • After launch:
  • Manage approval process (Costco and OEM)
  • Submit scheduled sales file and reporting data
  • Serve as point of contact for technical, marketing and business questions
Technical
  • Prioritizes needs and provides oversight throughout development stages
  • Responsible for defining the requirements for each feature and the desired user experience.
  • Work closely with IT Dev and OPS on the business and technical specifications and ensure that teams have all of the information they need to deliver a complete product.
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager on prioritizing project roadmap and building what matters most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the project.
Marketing
  • Assist in review of Marketing Plans and calendar to support each initiative and align with OEM requirements.
  • Provide insights and collaborate with web designers on UI/UX/UXD based on best practices, member experience and program vision.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams (design, email and copy) on program positioning, look-and-feel and strategy to align with OEM brand guidelines.
  • Submit for and obtain approvals from OEM and/or Costco for all marketing pieces as required
Cross-functional
  • Acts as primary liaison between stakeholders and cross functional teams
  • Responsible for defining the vision and communicating with stakeholders across the board, including internal and external business managers, and cross functional teams to make sure the goals are clear and the vision is aligned with business objectives.
  • Accountable for each stage of the development process, evaluates progress and is responsible for the final product.
  • Articulate the business value to the cross-functional teams so they understand the intent behind the new product or product release.
  • Adjust sales presentations to showcase product performance as needed.
Program performance
  • Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
  • Providing reporting and visibility of program status/KPI's for customer and organizational leaders, with a strong business acumen and with strong written and verbal communications
  • Maintains organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
  • Collaborate with OEM and reporting on OEM Tier 1, 2, 3 marketing tracking
  • Collaborate with reporting and accounting on sale file reporting and program billing
  • Use market research techniques to obtain member feedback on messaging, design and experience
  • Use reporting tools to analyze member behavior and propose new features
  • Conduct industry research to keep up with product, technical and marketing trends
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3 years of project management experience preferred, including tracking and planning projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years of experience working with business stakeholders and cross functional teams
  • 3 years of experience with full product lifecycle
  • Previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentation
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, presentation and organizational skills with ability to influence, negotiate and engage peers
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing
  • Innovative thinker and dynamic problem solver with customer focus
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Must have very strong interpersonal and communication skills with a diplomatic approach and a demonstrated ability to partner with others and manage complex relationships
  • Ability to quickly and effectively triage escalations and drive resolution
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Azure or similar
