ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and evaluate categories of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.
• Perform regular reviews of assigned commodity requirements and usage through utilization of system tools and generated reports.

• Manage end to end supplier selection process through sourcing, bid analysis, development of strategies, recommendation, selection, and supplier and stakeholder relationships.
• Negotiate contracts, improved prices, and payment terms with suppliers and review opportunities to capture savings/avoid cost increases utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods and place orders accordingly.
• Timely and accurate placement of purchase orders.
• Confirm fulfilment of purchase orders and promptly address any discrepancies or shortages, with a proactive approach and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Comply with company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations, contract award process, and issuance of purchase order.
• Cultivate and nurture critical supplier relationships through regular communication and follow-up.
• Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.
• Present innovative ideas and strategies to enhance operational efficiency, drive business value, optimize performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Maintain the Minority Business Spending Program including sourcing new MBE/WBE vendors, monitoring competitive pricing of existing vendors and monitoring continued qualification of vendors.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required, which may include but are not limited to supporting strategic business partners, refining processes and documentation, managing master data, and contributing to various other projects as needed.

• Minimum 5 years Purchasing experience.
• Must be 21 years of age

• Red Rock and Stratton Warren Experience a plus
• Experience purchasing in the Casino, Hospitality, Food and Beverage industry a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Intermediate Excel skills, including look up functions and Pivot Tables.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Word.
• Strong analytical abilities to effectively interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Essential skills in task prioritization, time management, and organization to consistently meet deadlines.
• Proven negotiation skills to achieve successful outcomes.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Must be able to multi task and work in a fast paced environment

Education:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
