POSITION TITLE: TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE/DRAFTER

DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING

JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT

REPORTS TO: ENGINEERING MANAGER

LOCATION: LEOMINSTER, MA

Role Overview: As a Technical Associate Drafter, you will play a vital role in supporting special projects and strategic initiatives within our engineering department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Engineering with special orders, communications, strategic projects, testing, and providing crucial support to ensure timely completion and delivery.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Notices (ECN), and Engineering Change Requests (ECR) to facilitate seamless transitions and improvements.
  • Offer factory support to address technical issues and optimize production processes.
  • Demonstrate design capabilities for specials, new products, and fixtures, leveraging creativity and technical expertise (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with Autocad and SolidWorks is advantageous for interpreting and modifying technical drawings (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation and communication purposes.

Experience:

  • Ideally, 1-3 years of experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for design and drafting purposes. However, candidates with strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn CAD systems will be considered.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure project timelines are met and contribute to successful product launches into production.
  • Maintain a positive "can-do" attitude, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Structured and organized approach to tasks, demonstrating strong time management skills.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
