Position Overview: AceZone is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Program Assistant for our Summer Program running from July 8th, 2024, to August 9th, 2024. The Program Assistant will support the daily operations of the summer program, working closely with the program coordinators and participants to ensure a successful and enriching experience. We are specifically looking for a bilingual individual who is fluent and literate in Spanish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities and special events.
  • Support program coordinators in managing program logistics, including attendance, scheduling, and material preparation.
  • Provide guidance and support to participants, ensuring their safety and engagement in activities.
  • Communicate effectively with participants and their families, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
  • Translate program materials and communications between English and Spanish as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized program environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the program coordinators.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Fluency and literacy in Spanish and English are required.
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a passion for working with youth.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to commit to the full program schedule.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 7:30pm-3:30pm
  • One hour paid lunch

Compensation:

  • Hourly Pay rate: $23.00 per hour
  • Training Hours: 20 hours
  • Program Hours: 200 Hours
  • Total Compensation: $5,060.00

Job Type: Full-time
