Arts and Craft Instructor - Summer Program (TK-3rd, 5th-8th Grade)

Job Description:

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Arts and Crafts Instructor to lead our summer enrichment program. The ideal candidate will inspire and educate students in various art and craft techniques, fostering creativity and self-expression in a fun and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Budget-Conscious Planning: Ability to design projects using affordable materials, enabling students to replicate the projects at home after learning.
• Design and implement a beginner-friendly theatre curriculum suitable for elementary and middle school students.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational arts and crafts sessions.
• Introduce students to a variety of art materials and techniques.
• Manage classroom materials and setup before each class.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment where students can learn and create.
• Provide guidance and assistance to students during craft projects.

Qualifications:

• Strong ability to teach a variety of artistic techniques.
• Passion for teaching young children.
• High degree of creativity and familiarity with arts and crafts materials.
• A patient, friendly, and engaging teaching manner.
• Ability to design age-appropriate, educational, and engaging activities.
• Patience and flexibility to work effectively with young students from diverse backgrounds.

Schedule:

• July 1st to July 3rd (1:00-2:00 & 3:20-4:20)
• July 8th to July 11th (1:00-2:00, 2:00-3:00, & 3:20-4:20)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
