Afton Consulting Group is Hiring an Estimator Near Rochester, MN

The Estimator will be responsible for estimating all fiberglass projects, including the development of pricing, preparing and submitting bids, as well as assessing material alternations after an order has been received. The Estimator will work with project managers, engineering, and drafting to convey work required based on written quotations.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with customer and corporate representatives to obtain complete design information.
  • Interface with customers as needed to determine requirements of projects.
  • Thoroughly review client’s specifications to prepare, coordinate, and publish accurate job estimates.
  • Initiate order acknowledgements generated from quotes if drafting is required.
  • Utilize all estimating tools and components to ensure accuracy.
  • As a positive company representative, influentially provides suggestions to secure orders.
  • Update costing information on a regular basis.
  • Maintain quotations for future reference and development of historical data.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven skills in blueprint reading and basic estimating.
  • Construction experience or knowledge is a plus.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional project and time management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Interacts effectively with all departments to facilitate a positive, productive working relationship.
  • Works well with minimum supervision.
