The Afton House Inn & St. Croix River Cruises is a family run and operated business for more than 47 years and has 2 banquet rooms, 3 restaruants, 25 hotel rooms and 2 dinner boats accomodating 40-300 guests and offers outside catering services on the St. Croix River, located in Afton, MN and Hudson, WI.

The Events Coordinator is a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is enthusiastic about planning and coordinating events..

This key position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all clients and coordinating events from begining to end for parties of 10-350 guests.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer skills and be able to multi-task. Time-management skills are also essential with the ability to prioritize and meet departmental project deadlines while effectively executing the many details of small groups.

Canditate will have weekly meetings with department heads to go over events and details.

Qualifications

• Refined verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient knowledge of computer applications, ability to learn new programs

• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills in a variety of formats – in-person, by phone, and electronic communication

• Ability to thrive in a team orientated environment, yet also show initiative for working independently

• Creative ideas, thinking outside the box, and having fun at work are all required!

• Previous Events or Sales experience is a bonus, but not required
