AG Express Electronics is Hiring a Sales Specialist Near Des Moines, IA

As a Harness Sales Specialist at Ag Express Electronics Inc., you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will leverage your expertise to adeptly handle customer inquiries, providing tailored recommendations, precise quoting, and seamless coordination for the delivery of cutting-edge harness systems. Your cross-functional collaboration skills will be key as you work closely with various teams to streamline production processes, ensuring the timely fulfillment of orders. In this dynamic role, maintaining excellent customer service standards is paramount, contributing to our commitment to delivering innovative solutions and fostering long-lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise
  • Recommend, quote, and sell systems and wire harnesses, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient coordination and delivery.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and product advancements to provide informed recommendations.
  • Design new and modified cables and wiring harnesses offered by Ag Express.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with purchasing and sales teams to streamline the processing and fulfillment of sales orders.
  • Work closely with the production manager to schedule and oversee the production of wire harnesses.
Effective Communication
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other channels regarding Ag Express harness products and services.
  • Maintain proactive communication with farmers and implement dealers, providing updates on order status and wiring harness builds.
  • Uphold excellent customer service standards, addressing issues promptly and providing necessary support.
Documentation
  • Create comprehensive bills of materials, including labor, for custom and new harnesses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of high school education or equivalent (GED).
  • A background in agriculture is advantageous, providing additional context and understanding of industry-specific requirements.
Physical Requirements:
  • Remain in a seated position 50% of the time; alternate between sitting and standing.
  • Move about the office to access parts, including high-level shelving, ascending/descending ladders.
  • Move up to 50 lbs. of equipment.
  • Operate machinery for intricate cable/parts fabrication.
