Hours per Week: 40 Hourly or Salaried: Salary Funding source: Hard Money Number of opening: 1 Benefits Eligible: Yes Location: Eco Centro 1819 N Main Ave. San Antonio, Texas, 78212 United States Outside working hours if other than M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: May work some evenings and weekends Job Summary and Description Responsible for promoting the service-learning methodology as an effective pedagogy by connecting learning outcomes with community needs while promoting civic engagement among students. Critical thinking, reflection, and connectedness to community should all be emphasized. The Service Learning Coordinator for Eco Centro - Agriculture (Sustainability)- will promote community outreach in conservation, sustainability and regenerative agriculture and maintain the Eco Centro urban Farm and garden spaces. Bachelor's degree in sociology, social sciences, human services, public administration, adult education, or related field or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
Two years' of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree.
Four years' of job related experience
Two years' horticulture and/or regenerative agriculture experience (gardening, recycling, home efficiency) strongly preferred
Experience creating curriculum, event planning and presenting workshops
