We are looking for an experienced, dynamic corporate accountant who is willing to tackle a variety of challenges and projects across the company. This position has exposure to many aspects of the business and coordinates with a number of divisions including operations, fixed assets, accounts payable, and plant accounting teams.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 0-2 or more years of accounting experience; 3 years required for Senior consideration.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of the agricultural production industry preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Skill in using Microsoft Office products required, knowledge of Oracle general ledger system desired but not required.
  • Possesses a high degree of integrity and trust.

Job Functions:

  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute various financial statements and operational reports for management, applications for external agencies and organizations.
  • Maintains financial records of the organization by entering various information regarding transactions, preparation of journal entries, and reconciling various general ledger accounts.
  • Performs preparation of month-end financial statements for assigned profit centers.
  • Performs financial analysis to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Assists in developing accounting systems and controls.
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned by management.
