Agape of Central Alabama is seeking a licensed social worker (LMSW, or LICSW, will considered LBSW with significant experience in Adoption ) to join our team to join our ministry as Adoption Program Manager.

This position oversees and carries out all services related to the agency’s domestic and international adoption programs. This includes on-going training and support of prospective adoptive parents, placement services, and post placement services to children/families. This also includes coordination of services with the other program staff as needed to support the mission of the agency, best practice principles and ethical practices for birth parents, adoptive parents, and adoptees.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years child welfare experience, preferably including significant Domestic Adoption & Intercountry Adoption experience. She/he should have demonstrated strong assessment and clinical skills necessary to provide adoption services, as well as leadership skills to coordinate, manage, develop, support adoption service provision. This person must be flexible, dependable, and able to collaborate with others to carry out the mission and vision of Agape through adoption services.

This is a full-time position based in our Birmingham office (we will consider the option of locating in the Montgomery office for the right candidate). There will be local travel within the state of Alabama with occasional out of state travel.
