The AGI Digital product is an independent hardware and software platform that brings together data across the farm, in real time, and provides customers with the ability to manage their crop production, manage their overall business, and market their grain based on content and robust traceability.
The OpportunityAs a Technical Project Manager at our Lenexa, KS facility, you will be at the forefront of delivering top-notch projects to our product team, making a real impact on farmers across North America. You will oversee various projects, from small sensor devices to complex system-level solutions. This position requires in-depth knowledge, experience in electronic product design, and solid technical project management skills.
The TeamThe role will report to the Product Leader.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee engineering projects from initiation to successful completion, ensuring alignment with product objectives and compliance with regulations.
  • Create comprehensive project plans, including timelines and given budgets, while working closely with cross-functional team leads and managing available resources effectively.
  • Assign, monitor, and contribute to defining the daily tasks of technical staff to ensure all engineering teams are actively and collaboratively working towards established milestones.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing, Production, QA, and Engineering departments to ensure unified project scope, schedules, and timely deliverables.
  • Facilitate daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, and project plan releases, ensuring smooth coordination and progress tracking.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional department leads, taking charge of ENN/ECR/ECO processes, ensuring streamlined execution and adherence to project requirements.
  • Implement and optimize agile or waterfall methodology to meet business goals, drive efficiency, and foster continuous improvement.
  • Manage project backlogs, risk assessments, and priorities in consultation with product stakeholders and team leads for effective risk management and goal alignment.
  • Tackle intricate engineering challenges by conducting in-depth analyses with team leads and stakeholders to enhance decision-making.
  • Regularly engage with stakeholders to manage expectations, provide updates, and ensure project alignment with their objectives.
  • Deliver comprehensive weekly & monthly update reports on each engineering project to stakeholders, fostering transparency and accountability.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project teams, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
  • Leverage expertise using the JIRA project management tool suite to drive productivity, project dynamics, dashboards, and data visualization.
  • Evening and weekend hours may be required.
  • Regular attendance in the office is required.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field (or directly applicable military or working experience)
  • 3 years of product design engineering experience in consumer or industrial electronics
  • 3 years of Project Management or equivalent work experience in a similar industry
  • Strong understanding and experience with complete hardware and software development life cycle
  • Proactive and strategic mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement, communication, and functional collaboration
  • Comfortable working with unfamiliar areas of expertise in a collective, transparent, and highly communicative environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of work to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong curiosity for various technical topics and systems.
  • Agile Project Management certification is desired (CSM, CSPO, or similar)
  • Expertise using the Jira project management tool suite
  • Working understanding of Product Requirement Docs, timelines, Gantt charts, project metric dashboarding, software and hardware development processes, project plan creation and facilitation, user story creation, task breakdown, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication ability
  • Proficiency and experience in public speaking, specifically with engineering staff, stakeholders, and executives
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Jira, Lucid/Miro, Gitlab, Bitbucket, and CI/CD tool suites are desired.
