SUMMARY

Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's mission is to provide integrated Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Information (C4I) systems and manage strategic C4I resources in support of AMC’s global air mobility mission. HQ AMC requires technical and support task services that enable the readiness state of the systems, infrastructure, and services that satisfy the mission requirements for the Mobility Air Force (MAF) C2 Business Systems, projects, applications, and infrastructures. These services in total are referred to as Systems Infrastructure, Applications, Operations and Maintenance Services (SIAOMS). SIAOMS is AFLCMC’s answer to meeting these IT challenges by leveraging hardware, software, services, and support resource consolidation.

Looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of automation engineering. Candidate should be familiar with Windows 2016 and higher and Red Hat Linux 8.x, including configuring OS settings via automation. Candidate should be familiar with engineering practices and be capable of analyzing requirements and developing a supportable, well documented end product to meet customer needs. Candidate should have a strong background in troubleshooting methodologies and be open to learning new skills.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·Strong Background in automation engineering.

·Automation development experience using VBScript, Bash, SQL, PowerShell, batch, HTA.

·Strong process and engineering documentation skills.

·Ability to break down process and developer documentation into logically automatable steps.

·AWS Experience a plus.

·Symantec GSS 3.x Experience.

·Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2022, Red Hat Linux 8.x admin experience.

·Familiar with automating and troubleshooting DISA STIG implementations.

·SQL 2016 and higher and/or other DBA experience a plus.

·Act as third level support with strong troubleshooting skillset.

·Ability to work independently and “get projects across the finish line”.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience

·Bachelor's Degree in CS or Equivalent of Education and Experience.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills

·Windows Server Administration.

·Red Hat Linux Administration.

·AWS Experience a plus.

·MS SQL or Oracle Database Experience a Plus.

·Scripting experience with VBScript, Bash, Powershell, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions

·Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Strength Demands

·Light – 20 lbs. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 10 lbs. A job is light if less lifting is involved but significant walking/standing is done or if done mostly sitting but requires push/pull on arm or leg controls.
