Job Description: Senior Project Manager Location: Marietta, GA. (working in office the majority of the time) Duration: 6 month contract with possible full time hire after the contract Important: 80% of the time spent will be SDLC. 20% will be infrastrucure projects The positon requires W2 payment. Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Manage multiple small, medium, and/or large-sized projects in both business application and infrastructure areas.
Initiate projects by understanding business problems and solution goals, defining project objectives in collaboration with key stakeholders, and creating comprehensive project charters.
Lead and create project work breakdown structures, oversee the creation of requirements, and manage scope throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and manage end-to-end detailed project schedules, including task dependencies, milestones, and resource assignments.
Manage project budgets and mitigate variance against baselines.
Plan, organize, and manage testing activities, orchestrating testing execution and defect management.
Identify and manage project risks and issues, performing ongoing risk analysis and applying appropriate mitigation strategies.
Resolve project issues in a timely manner and escalate risks and issues as necessary.
Plan and manage project change control processes, lead change impact analysis, and manage the Change Control Board (CCB) for change decisions.
Plan and manage implementation and user go-live, executing comprehensive implementation plans and coordinating training and communication for successful user go-live.
Regularly distribute project status updates to all stakeholders, including C-level leadership.
Set clear expectations with all stakeholders and continually manage expectations, realigning if necessary.
Build and grow business relationships crucial to success.

Proficient in proactively discovering, ascertaining, and mitigating gaps, plan variances, impacts, and risks to the project and, at times, across the organization.
Skillful in collaborating with business to develop and articulate business cases and leading discussions with stakeholders.
Skilled in evaluating project estimates, rationalizing project costs, and identifying potential cost minimization strategies.
Proficient in leading and eliciting cooperation from others to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Highly proficient at performing what-if scenarios on scope, schedule, and budget to determine project impact.
Proficient at clearly articulating and tailoring communication content based on the audience.
Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and processes.
Skilled in conforming to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Skillful in interpreting communication styles of others from various disciplines and tailoring communication accordingly.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to be influential, persuasive, encouraging, and compelling.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication (written and oral) skills.
3 years of experience with IT Project Management software (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
Minimum Requirements
5 years of direct work experience in an IT project management capacity, covering all aspects of project planning and execution.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related technical or business field.
