WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH (AND WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY) This position provides leadership and strategy to a team of Account Managers who drive referrals and admissions across their assigned territories for hospice, supportive care and, if applicable, adult day center.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS ROLE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for proactively identifying, evaluating, developing and executing sales opportunities that increase Agrace’s patient/customer base to enhance the long-term sustainability of Agrace’s mission.
Identifies and Executes Sales Strategies
  • Establish and monitor productivity and sales plan metrics for Account Manager team.
  • Set strategy for Account Managers to successfully meet all sales targets and goals and spend time in the field with the team executing the strategy.
  • Maintain regular contact with any assigned accounts and respond promptly.
  • Initiate and maintain ongoing competitor analysis for all service lines to identify areas of strategic opportunity and threat using quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Maintain knowledge of current market conditions in hospice and palliative care and works to improve Agrace’s market position.
  • Identify, obtain, and decipher relevant data sources to help uncover opportunities to leverage Agrace’s competitive advantage and unmet needs in the market.
  • Work with the Chief Growth Officer to develop and implement quarterly and annual sales plans for each territory and the organization.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with current and prospective business partners (including referral sources, providers and insurers) to understand customers’ current and future needs and to introduce services.
  • Represent and network on behalf of Agrace at community and clinical events, which may include weekends and evenings.
  • Utilize Salesforce, in partnership with the team, to document customer interactions and maintain data related to activities, accounts and partners.
Inter-Departmental Collaboration
  • Assist Account Management team with escalated hospice service recovery needs.
  • Maintain collaborative partnerships with homecare, Supportive Care and Agrace Adult Day Center leaders to ensure that the Sales Team can provide market-based insights on service delivery.
  • Partner with the Director of Supportive Care to contract with long-term care facilities as Agrace Partners in Care (APICs) and to ensure successful service delivery.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop marketing collaterals and strategy the improve Agrace’s market position and equip the Account Management team to convey the Agrace value proposition.
Direct Department Activities
  • Hire, train, engage, and retain staff.
  • Assign, direct, and verify the work of the direct reports.
  • Assess staff, formally evaluate performance, and provide feedback, coaching, correction and development opportunities.
  • Support the Chief Growth Officer in developing and monitoring the Department’s annual budget, including referral and admission projections for hospice and supportive care.

Qualifications YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years healthcare related sales experience
  • 3 years supervisory, management or leadership experience
  • Knowledge of healthcare partner operations including clinics, hospitals, and long-term care facilities
  • Demonstrated success in clinical sales/marketing with a strong sense of developing and maintaining relationship. Knowledge of hospice/palliative care benefits and regulations strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle objections and resolve conflicts
  • Proven ability to obtain access and build relationships with key business contacts among healthcare systems, insurers, hospice and palliative organizations, and large, multi-facility senior living facilities
  • Healthcare business acumen
  • General understanding of financial modeling
  • Applied knowledge of market research, feasibility assessments, and volume projections
  • Complex quantitative analysis skills
  • Must be a self-directed and confident performer and act with an entrepreneurial spirit and a sense of urgency
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills to relay financial/business/technical information to internal and external partners at all levels
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to be flexible in time and task to meet organizational needs
