A reputable and financially sound agricultural cooperative in Eastern Iowa is seeking a General Manager to replace their retiring GM.

Qualifications you need to win in this role:

• Solid agricultural leader with direct knowledge of managing a diverse agricultural facility
• Excel in communicating with customers and team members alike.
• Strong financial knowledge and sense of responsibility, including knowing how to budget and plan for the different locations and divisions to grow and stay competitive.
• Diversely skilled manager who enjoys working with and motivating team members to grow new and existing business and to build a positive, safety-first culture.
• Excellent people leadership skills and a strong work ethic to set the tone for the team will serve you well.
• Agricultural facility management experience, at minimum being a grain elevator or feed department leader or a Location Manager at a multi-site agricultural business.
• Existing knowledge or exposure to grain elevators and grain marketing, agronomy, feed mills, retail and fuel is ideal.
• Willingness to learn all segments of the business and have the drive and desire to lead this company.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of this multi-division agricultural company
• Train, delegate to, and trust other leaders in the company including the division heads in grain, feed, agronomy, fuel and retail.
• Motivating the entire team to success is crucial.
• Managing people and your time to know and do what needs done is key.
• Manage two key locations located about 45 miles apart.
