Job Summary

Agric Organics seeks a reliable and customer-oriented driver for an 18 ft Mobile Grocery Store to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating an 18ft truck, ensuring timely delivery and setup of the mobile grocery store at designated locations, and providing excellent customer service to our patrons. This role requires a combination of driving, logistical, and customer service skills. We would prefer a bilingual Spanish/English-speaking individual. 

Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

Driving and Delivery:

• Safely operate an 18ft mobile grocery store truck to various locations as scheduled.
• Ensure all products are loaded securely and delivered without damage.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.

Customer Service:

• Greet customers professionally and courteously.
• Assist customers with their purchases and provide product information as needed.
• Handle transactions, including cash, SNAP, HIP, WIC, Farmers Market Coupon, and card payments accurately and efficiently.
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous manner.
• Guide customers to special promotions and highlight new products.

Setup and Maintenance:

• Set up the mobile store at each location, including unloading products and arranging displays.
• Ensure the truck is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or issues to the supervisor.
• Dispose of expired or damaged products according to company policy.
• Breakdown and dispose of boxes in the warehouse. 

Logistics and Reporting:

• Keep accurate records of deliveries, inventory, and transactions.
• Report any mechanical issues with the truck to the maintenance team promptly.

Stocking and Merchandising:

• Stock truck with products, ensuring items are placed correctly and attractively.
• Rotate products according to the “first in, first out” (FIFO) method to maintain freshness.
• Ensure all items are properly labeled with correct pricing and signage.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock or out-of-stock items to the supervisor.
• Assist with inventory counts and audits.
• Receive and unpack deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality

Compliance and Safety:

• Adhere to all mobile truck and company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to management immediately.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to obtain a Hawkers/Peddlers License by passing a CORI background check.
• Previous experience driving a commercial vehicle, preferably a box truck or similar.
• Experience in customer service or retail is a plus.

Skills:

• Strong driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
