AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation is Hiring a Lead, Production Controller Near Philadelphia, PA

The Production Control plays a critical role in the company.

Must manage and solve any material issues that may arise, ensuring that all parts needed for the production process are available on time on assembly line, and work with different departments to maintain and respect the correct material flow.

The position has a multitude of responsibilities, as one needs to help ensure that all aspects of the material supply on the shop floor run efficiently and oversee complex processes that have a big impact on the company costs.

Work closely with the Procurement Dept. and Production Planning team to ensure the availability of the materials and components required for production. 

Release and print work orders (routings) created by the Engineering Dept. for specific tasks and reworks. Track the progress of the work orders, monitor the status and make sure to close the process once the activity is done. 

Be the interface and referring point for any material aspect between all functions on the Assembly Line, Procurement and Warehouse, in charge for any physical and accounting movement of the material.

Monitor, track, and manage open tasks in Quality Notes. Quality Notes can prevent production activities and be a barrier to reaching important delivery milestones.

Need attitude to cooperate and deal with coworkers from other company functions with a good initiative-taking approach to face daily issues.

A deep understanding of production control concepts, methodologies, and best practices are necessary to handle complex scenarios and provide solutions. 

These responsibilities are crucial for ensuring material processes related to the shop floor, run smoothly, efficiently and in time, directly impacting the operational performance of the company.

Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential for a Production Control Lead. Need to be able to interact and coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Operations, Quality, Engineering and Management. Strong interpersonal skills are required to facilitate effective communication, resolve conflicts, and build strong working relationships. Need to provide guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to less experienced team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, expedite and escalate missing parts through company tool (SAP) 
  • Request and track parts from warehouse. (replacing part, missing parts, etc.) 
  • Make sure the parts scheduled for the activities are physically present on the material racks in the helicopter bay. 
  • Monitor and close open tasks assigned from other Departments. 
  • Release and print work orders (routings) and oversee the process
  • Provide guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to less experienced team members
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making based on his / her expertise.
  • Be the contact between the Production Control team and other Company stakeholders

Qualifications for Position: 

Education

  • High School Diploma is required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred not required)

Experience

  • Production scheduling or relevant experience in a similar role is required.
  • Inventory Management experience is required.
  • Logistic material experience is required.
  • Supply chain knowledge is required.
  • Customer Support knowledge is required.

  • Expertise in MS Office
  • SAP experience preferred.
