JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, is responsible for the daily activities of the front office.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma/GED required.
2. Previous experience within a medical office setting or certificate in medical office training preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet visitors, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff.

Obtain and enter new patient information or update existing patient information into system.

Request patient payment (co-pays) for clinic/center visit at the time of service.

Complete insurance and other claim forms.

Interview patients to complete documents, case histories and forms such as intake and insurance forms.

Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff.

Schedule and confirm patient office appointments.

Route electronic faxes ASAP.

Transmit correspondence and medical records by mail, e-mail, or fax. Complete Medical Record requests in/out within 14 days.

Maintain the overall appearance of the front office.

Maintain regular attendance.
