Summary:
Oversee all aspects of field activities and construction management on Federal building construction and facility renovation contracts OCONUS. The Construction Manager's responsibilities include managing and driving project initiatives, managing medium to complex field construction sites, overseeing contractor and subcontractor compliance, laying out construction limits, project scheduling and construction task sequencing, crew scheduling and management, cost controls, sustaining and expanding services, correspondence, and coordination with home office, clients, and other stakeholders. The Construction Manager should be an independent, hands-on, self-motivated professional experienced in managing complex construction and environmental remediation projects and want to grow professionally with each challenging project.
The construction manager shall observe and document the construction progress of the facility in accordance with the construction schedule and design documents provided by the Federal client. The construction manager shall work with Ahtna management to develop and adhere to a Project Management Plan to guide how Ahtna plans to document and record construction observation activity. The construction manager shall observe and document quality control, material procurement, schedule adherence, site safety, and overall progress of construction. Observation methods may include visual inspection, document review, observation of material, and/or observation of systems testing.
The salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000/year. This position requires 100% travel.
