Aimé Leon Dore is looking for a Styling Coordinator to join our team in New York, New York, reporting directly to VP, Brand. This position will hold a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of our campaigns and lookbooks, contributing significantly to the overall success of our projects. Your attention to detail, creative vision, and styling expertise are essential in maintaining our brand's integrity and delivering compelling visual content.

Duties and Responsibilities

Styling Calendar Management:

  • Collaborate with the production & ecommerce teams to incorporate styling dates into various internal calendars.
  • Schedule style-out days and pre-shoot styling sessions with models, setting deadlines for the procurement of additional styling items beyond our product inventory.

Creative Vision Execution:

  • Work closely with the Head of Brand to understand and bring the creative vision of each concept to life.
  • Support the Head Stylist to compile research for upcoming seasonal projects, editorials, and campaigns.
  • Identify and source any necessary styling items to complement the ALD assortment and complete the storytelling of the project.
  • Support outfit assembly in a way that aligns with the project vision.
  • Prioritize prominent showcasing of high-value and hero pieces during content capture.

Product and Inventory Oversight:

  • Ensure all required products are available for style-out days by maintaining an awareness of in-bound dates and line-item status.
  • Follow the sample request SOP to keep an accurate status and location of every item.
  • Maintain detailed tracking and serve as the source-of-truth for product whereabouts, condition (eg damaged on set, etc), and accuracy (eg embroidery on final will be different) for marketing and creative teams before, during, and after content capture.
  • Ensure merchandise is returned with proper documentation and on deadline.

Pre- During, and Post-Production:

  • Conduct pre-capture styling reviews to identify missed opportunities and prevent style repetition.
  • Assist the Head Stylist with administrative tasks and document management during all style-outs for e-commerce and editorial shoots.
  • Manage all pulls and preparation of merchandise prior to shoots.
  • On capture days, ensure that models are fully styled and dressed in complete looks, including jewelry, accessories, and headwear before they step onto set.
  • Ensure that hero items are appropriately highlighted in the final content.
  • Collaborate with the team to review photo selects in order to: ensure hero items are appropriately represented; products that require specific retouching or adjustments are identified; selects reflect the highest-quality, final content.
  • Liaise with Retouching teams to ensure all intended notes are actioned before product launches
  • Work with merchandising, retail, and ecommerce teams to make sure both the right products are captured and the captured products are featured in the buying journey.

Studio Collaboration

  • Create product grid and still life imagery that features in-stock products.
  • Assist the Studio team with prepping for all still life sets.
  • Concept and support the evolution of studio capabilities to allow for increased output and new ways of capturing content to demonstrate product details and wearability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 2 years of on-set experience styling for e-commerce and/or editorial shoots
  • Photography, Adobe Bridge, and Capture One experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented, proactive self-starter, confident decision-maker, and team player
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities while staying organized
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to accommodate travel and photoshoot calendar as needed
  • Appreciation and passion for Aimé Leon Dore’s brand, creative styles and sensibility

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
