AIM World Services is seeking a qualified Special Purpose Ground Equipment Mechanic to support Ramp Operations at the International Airport in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
This position involves the maintenance of Aircraft Cargo Loaders, Aircraft Tow Tractors (Tugs) and Tow Bars, Truck-Mounted Airstairs, Forklifts, and other AGE in standard Aerial Port use.
AGE Technician Duties
Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning AGE accessories and components, removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls AGE components and accessories, stencils and marks AGE in accordance with technical publications, stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
Prepares AGE for mobility deployment
Operates, cleans, inspects, and services AGE towing vehicles.
Maintains vehicle records, updates paper and electronic equipment records, provides dispatch service for AGE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations, practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times.

Each AGE Mechanic is responsible for completing all training requirements and fulfilling all self-aid and friend aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks, and serving on safety committees and teams.
Each AGE Mechanic must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to the job.
Each AGE Mechanic will perform various field level and limited sustainment maintenance actions on various ground support equipment.
Maintains aerospace ground equipment (AGE) to support aircraft systems or subsystems.
Manages AGE functions and activities. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE.
Inspects, tests, and operates AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.
Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls AGE accessories and components.
Stencils and marks AGE. Services equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air.
Operates, cleans, inspects, and services AGE towing vehicles.
Diagnoses malfunctions and repairs AGE. Evaluates and performs troubleshooting on AGE before assigning repair action.
Inspects and approves completed maintenance actions.
Prepares AGE for storage, shipment, and mobility deployment.
Solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications.
Uses automated maintenance system to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions.
Analyzes and repairs ground support equipment using conventional and digital multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers and hand tools.
Maintains AGE external fuel and grounding systems.
Performs battery serviceability checks.
Stores, handles, uses, and disposes of hazardous material and waste according to environmental standards.
Plans and organizes AGE maintenance activities.
Establishes production controls and standards.
Interprets and implements policy directives and instructions pertaining to maintenance, including environmentally safe maintenance practices.
Determines resource requirements, including facilities, training, equipment, and supplies. Inspects maintenance activities, evaluates resource use, and recommends corrective actions.
Determines equipment serviceability criteria when it does not exist.
Experience & Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Must be a Trained and Certified Aerial Port Ground Equipment Maintenance Technician
US Air Force MOS 2T351 Special Purpose Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Technician, Or
US Air Force MOS 2A652 Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician
AGE Technicians must also have completed :
L3AZP2T351-001 Mobile 60K Loader O / I Maintenance Course, and / or
L4AST2T351-035 Mobile 60K Loader O / I Maintenance Course
Prefer completion of other Training Courses or similar to :
L4AST2T351-036 Mobile 25K Loader Maintenance
L4AST2T351-005 Diesel Engine Maintenance
L4AST2T352B-011 Oshkosh R-11 Refueler O / I Maintenance
L4AST2T352B-012 Tri-State R-12 Hydraulic / Hose Truck O / I Maintenance
L4AST2T354-000 Power Steer & Power Brakes Maintenance
L4AST2T354-001 Vehicle Test Equipment
Experience maintaining the 60K Aircraft Cargo Loader (Tunner) mandatory.
Prefer experience maintaining the 25K Next Generation Small Loader (Halvorsen)
Must have a valid and current US State Driver's License.
Active US Government Driver's License showing 25K Halvorsen Next Generation Small Loader and 60K Tunner Cargo Loader Operator’s certification, is preferred.
Active US Government National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) extensive background check (SF85). This is a minimum requirement.
DoD Secret Clearance (SF86) or above works.
Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and / or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks and a Drug Screening is required.
Minimum four years recent experience and / or appropriate training in functions such as Inspection maintenance, repair and modification of powered ground support equipment used in support of electronic systems or sub-systems.
Experience performing or supervising functions such as inspecting, modifying, repairing, or troubleshooting AGE.
Experience managing AGE functions and activities.
Demonstrated knowledge and use of special tools / equipment required to perform assigned tasks is mandatory.
Must be familiar with US Department of Defense organization and contingency operations.
